Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Monitor food preparation and presentation to uphold Shell’s brand image.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any dietary needs or concerns.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Handle food waste responsibly, implementing efficient practices to minimise waste.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss improvements and feedback.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into the kitchen.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and in safe working order.
- Collaborate with management to achieve budgetary goals and cost control.

Qualifications
<p>- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (Certificate III or IV).
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a petrol station or food service setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with Australian regulations.
- Ability to prepare, cook, and present a variety of meals efficiently and to high standards.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (preferred).
- Eligibility to work in Australia with valid visa status.</p>
